Lester didn’t realize that all DTAC eSIMs come with a phone number that allows a user to add top up credit via various outlets. Additionally Lester’s American payment cards were rejected from various other top up outlets, and Lester then felt his payment method failures somehow reflects on the service we provide, which is the sale of the actual eSIM itself which happened without incident.

Added the esim prior to arriving in the country. Phone will continuously try and activate it but it won’t succeed. When you land in Thailand, switch lines to the sim and it activates. Took maybe 20 seconds and I had a working connection. Fully satisfied. Will use this again in the future.

Worked pretty much straight away. Had to restart phone to get data to start working and had no problems since. However, be prepared to get a lot of spam/scam texts as well as random phone calls from Thai phone numbers to your Thai phone number.

My installation stuck coz I stopped data by mistake . Then I deleted it . Same QR code is useless again . I requested for another QR code which was sent same time

This was my first time using an esim. I did a lot of online research and comparison and liked the price of eSIM2Fly and the reviews.
The sign up process was easy. I didn’t get sent a QR code but could quickly log in and get access to it (log in details sent in email on sign up). I set it up quickly while still in the UK and it connected immediately on landing in Thailand. Easy and very convenient. I will be using them again to top up after the 16 days expire.(0)(0)

To get 5G, you must have a modern device that supports it. iPhone 11 and older do not support 5G.

Excellent product. Very simple to install. Very simple to use. Great connectivity. Much better than the service I received in Sydney from another supplier. I would definitely use DTAC again. My UK SIM supplier did not cover Thailand on roaming and I had to pay twice the price of this SIM for my mistake in turning on roaming with the UK supplier. Lesson learnt !!!

Bought a dtac tourist sim. Got a PayPal receipt that I had been charged. Never got an email from esim2fly. Never got a password for my account. Tried to reset my password 3 times. No password reset email received after 1 day. Checked my spam folder…nothing. Using a long established gmail account. Did a screen grab of my QR code. Not yet in Thailand, so I don’t know of the eSim will work. Not a great experience.

Very easy to set up, watch the installation video and you can’t go wrong. Turned off my regular Sim on the flight over and switched to the E-sim. As soon as I landed in Bangkok I received a message saying successfully activated (don’t be put off by the message saying unable to activate whilst you are in your own country, it will only activate once you arrive at your destination country.) I’m still using it right now, faultless coverage. Highly recommended as it saves the queues and hassle of getting a sim when you arrive. Incredible price and product. I wish I had known about this before previous travels, I came across the E-sim whilst looking through a travel blog for Asia.

Only issue with installing the esim was the inability to scan the Q code. Forced to take a picture of the Q code, send it to the Wife’s phone and then scan it. Maybe user error.

I installed the esim in the U.S. and eventually it said it was unable to activate. I assume that's because I haven't yet landed in Thailand (per the user guide). Is there anything I need to do to active the sim after I get in Thailand? I can see it listed as my secondary number right now so it looks to have installed.Jack asked on February 17, 2023
Thai eSIM will only activate in Thailand. It can be installed outside of Thailand, but will not be able to connect to any network for activation.
Simply manually select a network and connect to one that is accessible.
